MAISON MARGIELA S/S 2002 CIRCULAR KNIT TOP
DESCRIPTION
Maison Margiela S/S 2002 circular knit top. An incredible collector’s piece that exemplifies Margiela’s iconic innovation and experimental approach to garment construction.
This cutting technique was used by Margiela starting in 1998 to create circular shaped garments. As seen in these 2002 lookbook images, the method was applied to both an Oxford shirt- cut by hand into a circular shape and a jacket, hand constructed from a circle cut out of a leather bomber.
